Aluminum Muse

This just in
words are not exactly like
Aluminum
you can not touch a word.
Words can only be heard
when listened for.
Words can only be moved
by the muse.
The muse used like a crutch
its writer grasping for a hold
on something tangible.
They will stumble and tumble
But the world will look on with marvel.
“That writer just fumbled—here we thought
we'd see a writer with skill.
No.
Instead we see a writer who's real.”
And just between us,
the world can tell no difference
in distance between madness
and genius.

Penni's been really busy lately, but she definitely deserves a little appreciation! She's part of the reason this site is here (though I guess without everyone, we wouldn't have anything at all).
